Marija Williams a self-taught artist based in West Berkshire, UK. She works in pencil and is particularly inspired by animals and the natural world. She loves the immediacy of graphite as a medium and enjoys creating works that are detailed, yet soulful, using the humble pencil.

She is passionate about creating art that centres the non-human animal, both wild and domestic, as this is her way of honouring the incredible creatures with whom we share our planet. She aims to capture the spirit and uniqueness of a subject, as well as a physical likeness.

Marija’s work has two primary streams: private commissions, which are usually portraits of people or pets and her own creative pieces, which tend to focus on wildlife.
